We need to stop littering
Do you remember those sarcastic commercials from the 2004 elections? Where people we gathering around a piece of litter and remarking how terrible it was. A small piece of trash and all the people complaining. At the end of the TV commercial, one person walking by picks up the paper and throws it into the trash. It was in someway an effort to get people out to vote. I don't know if it worked.
All I know is we as a people are litterers. It is rather embarrassing to see trash from Popeye's or 7-11 on the street. A person who litters basically feels the world is his trash can. It makes me have hope that the human race had enough sense to invent the toilet. When I walk, I don't pick any trash unless it is right in front of me. Still I pick up more trash then I would have thought.
We wonder if global climate change is caused by our actions. Do we really care? If we could just get the discipline to not litter, that would create a sense of connection to our Earth. Only with that connection can we hope to be a good shepard of our home.
Source points are not just factories and our cars. We ourselves are source points of all sorts of pollution. Directly. Not by turning on our TV or driving the 2 blocks to the store. We are throwing our Wendy's wrappers out our car windows. It would be good if we all reduced our self-source point of pollution.
